Mondays - start 24 Aug 2026 (15 weeks*)
17:00-17:45: Children’s class (6-13 years), whistle & bodhrán, all levels / 1500 kr
18:00-18:55: Tin whistle, beginner / 2600 kr
Mondays - start 24 Aug 2026 (odd-numbered weeks; 8 classes / 16 hrs total*)
19:00-21:00: Ceili band, interm/adv / 2800 kr
Mondays - start 31 Aug 2026 (even-numbered weeks+week 51; 8 classes / 16 hrs total*)
19:00-21:00: Grúpa ceoil, interm/adv / 2800 kr
Thursdays - start 27 August 2026 (15 weeks*)
18:00-18:55: Irish rhythm guitar, all levels / 2600 kr
19:00-19:55: Tin whistle, intermediate/advanced / 2600 kr
20:00-20:55: Bodhrán, beginner / 2600 kr
All classes are taught by Brendan Monaghan and take place at Majorstuen skole, Bogstadveien 74.
The classes will be taught in English (a Norwegian-speaking adult will assist the Children’s class.)
* There are no classes in week 40 (28 Sept-4 Oct) due to the schools’ autumn holiday. The last class is in week 50 (7-13 Dec). Week 51 is reserved for make-up classes in case any sessions are canceled during the semester.
Discounts
A student taking more than one course will receive a 20% discount on additional courses.
Students taking both band courses, Céili band and Grúpa ceoil will receive 30% discount on the second band course and 20% off other additional courses.
In addition to the above-mentioned discounts, senior citizens receive a 20% discount for their first course.
Trial lessons
You are welcome to try the first class of the semester for free, before deciding to sign up for the full course.
How to sign up and pay
Sign up for a course by sending an e-mail to Comhaltas Oslo prior to the start of the semester.
An invoice for course fees will be sent in two installments due in mid-September and mid-October.
